On exhibit from March 20 to May 30 in the Alice and William Jenkins Gallery at Crealdé School of Art : Unstable Realities—Paintings by Rima Jabbur. Rima is a professor of art at Valencia Community College and a well-known figurative painter. For the past 12 years she has served as the chairperson for the Alice and William Jenkins Gallery committee, facilitating and curating some of Crealdé’s most exciting exhibitions. This solo showing of her work features both portrait and narrative paintings. The portraits are painterly but precise, capturing their subjects in moments of inner revelation and hidden knowingness. In the narrative paintings, figures engage in enigmatic personal rituals that are set in partially defined spaces.
Curated by Dennis Schmalstig.

Pamela Z. Daum exhibits: “Back to Her Roots".
B&W Photographs with a Twist of Infrared”
Opening: Thursday March 19th 6-9 p.m.
Exhibition: Thursday March 19th - Sunday April 12th
Pamela states:
“Florida is the perfect locale to realize my Infrared vision. Everywhere I train my camera – from suburban buildings to hidden parks – I see the fine bones of a state that welcomes change, while still holding onto its past. Where other artists see Florida as the colorful setting it is, I prefer to render it in the elemental environs. Visualized through my infrared images, Florida is a state of being.”
Pamela’s photographs have been widely exhibited throughout the United States. Her work recently received Special Recognition in the 10th Annual Painting, Drawing, Photography & Print International Art Upstream People Gallery Exhibition, Omaha, NE; and First Place in Images from the Garden, Albin Polasek Museum, Winter Park, FL. Her photography was the subject of a Solo Exhibition at Western Reserve Academy Moos Gallery in Hudson, OH. She is a Capelli d’Angeli Foundation Grant Artist.

With the over-riding idea that this exhibit should be fun to visit, viewers and families will find a surprise at every turn in the show.”
The Art of Chrome & Leather VI Bash will feature art by Perego, including an action mural painting and an organic light show with live models, rock music, biker fashion, food and a cash bar in addition to an exciting live auction. What: Twitter of the Shrew - adapted for Twitter by @BrianFeldman from the classic comedy attributed to William Shakespeare, with additional material by @irenelpynn, is a Twitter adaptation of The Taming of the Shrew (1590-1594). Spanning 19 Twitter accounts and presented over 12 days (one scene daily), Twitter of the Shrew attempts to live up to Shakespeare’s “Brevity is the soul of wit” proverb, by condensing the play’s iambic pentameter dialogue down to updates of 140 characters or less. “It’s a great idea!,” says Austin Tichenor of The Reduced Shakespeare Company. For those who don’t yet exist in the Twitterverse, Twitter is that crazy-popular, social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users’ updates (otherwise known as tweets). Twitter of the Shrew is not sanctioned, endorsed or sponsored by Twitter, Inc.
